Why did you replace Norman Nato with Lucas di Grassi?

Norman did a fantastic job, and I'm very happy that he finished the season with a victory. He showed what he was capable of. But looking at the situation with hindsight, the overall picture showed us that we had on one side a driver who often scored big points (Edward Mortara. Editor's note) and another, someone with less consistency, above all because he was a rookie. But in Formula E, the level is so high that the slightest mistake costs a lot of points... When we had the opportunity to discuss with Lucas, with the perspective he brings to us, his great experience and in view of the performances he has demonstrated Over the past few seasons, it was clear that he was the right person to help us try to win the Teams Championship.

Do you have any regrets regarding last season, and more particularly Edo's second place in the championship?

I have absolutely no regrets, because the results we achieved are enough to make each of us proud. The vice-championship of Edo, our 7e position ahead of several major manufacturers in the Stables ranking is something very strong. We started the season with a fighting spirit and an incredible podium with Edo, and we ended it with Norman's victory. All this shows that we must be reckoned with, and that we will still be very involved and even stronger next season.

In 2022, Venturi will use an engine Mercedes for the last time. What are your plans for the future, and will Venturi be in Gen3 from 2023?

Rokit Venturi Racing will be present in Gen3, and we are analyzing what are the best opportunities available to us. As we saw with Mercedes-Benz, being a customer team is a huge advantage. There are more chances of success, twice as much track time and twice as many opportunities to learn new things for manufacturers. We're having some very interesting discussions right now, and we're going to take the time to get it right. We are very excited to be on the starting grid in Gen3.
