Ghiotto wins at Silverstone

Luca Ghiotto (Uni Virtuosi) won his first long race of the season F2 by winning Race 1 at Silverstone (Great Britain). The Italian took the advantage over his teammate Guanyu-Zhou initially and was subsequently threatened by Nicholas latifi (Dams). The Canadian was even able to take the lead in the race on several occasions, but the Italian ultimately had the last word by beating his rival by more than 3 seconds.

Guanyu Zhou had to settle for the last step of the podium, ahead of Sergio Sette Camara (Dams) and Jack Aitken (Campos Racing). The Briton took the advantage Nyck de Vries (ART GP) at the end of the race. Louis Delétraz (Carlin) followed in 7th place ahead of Callum Ilott (Sauber Junior Team by Charouz) who should start from pole in Race 2.

The race was catastrophic in the French clan. Giuliano Alesi (Trident) and Anthoine Hubert (BWT Arden) finished one lap behind, the first having stalled in the pits while the second was unable to start when the lights went out, victim of a crash start. fire on his brakes when he was supposed to start from 10th row. Dorian Boccolacci (Trident) was not more successful, retiring with a torn front wing.

F2 Race 2 will be broadcast live this Sunday from 10:50 a.m. on Canal+ Sport.
