GP2 – Jordan King to debut with Racing Engineering

Jordan King will make his GP2 Series debut this season with Racing Engineering. The 20-year-old Briton already has a fine track record in car since he won the title of the F3 British in 2013 and that he remains for two seasons contested in the discipline on a European scale.

The former resident of Jagonya Ayam with Carlin decided to take the step of GP2 with the Hispanic structure which took fourth place in the Teams Championship last year. “We spoke with several teams and the choice was difficult”, said Jordan King. “There are many things to take into consideration and I did a lot of research before making my decision. It is very important for a rookie to go to an experienced structure. Racing Engineering met these criteria."

Jordan King quickly showed himself comfortable behind the wheel of the GP2 during the post-season tests held at Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi) last November. “GP2 seems like the natural progression in my career”, added the new recruit from Racing Engineering. « I left the Abu Dhabi test confident. The car really seems to suit me. I learned everything in the lower disciplines and developed myself physically and mentally as a driver. It is too early to give objectives. »

Racing Engineering has not yet revealed its second driver. The season will begin on April 18 and 19 in Sakhir (Bahrain).
