GP2 – Nathanäel Berthon wants more

After the first six meetings, Nathanaël Berthon occupies ninth place in the championship, 100 points behind leader Davide Valsecchi. The Frenchman's lack of experience in the category does not speak in his favor, but progress is visible since he has just signed an impressive series of six consecutive points finishes, which he will try to extend at Silverstone.

« With so little driving in GP2, you have to learn very quickly, explains Berthon. I think I have made some progress on the track but also off it. I would have liked to be even better placed in the general classification, but nothing is decided and I do not intend to give up. I especially regret having missed pole so narrowly for the second Monaco race. I also remember the podium in Barcelona, and the disappointment of being rear-ended at the start of race 2 in Valencia, where I had the right to hope to obtain another podium, as I had felt my car very effective from the warm-up lap. »

This weekend, Berthon will compete on a track that he is very fond of, where he has often performed well, regardless of the category in which he competes. “ I remember that it was there, in 2008, that I reached Super Pole in Formula for the first time. Renault 2.0. I particularly like this super fast track, where, from the first corner, we experience the most Gs of the season. »
