GP2 – Rio Haryanto joins Campos Racing

Rio Haryanto has been confirmed by Campos Racing for the 2015 GP2 Series season. The 22-year-old Indonesian will team up with Arthur Pic who will play his second year with the Hispanic team. The Spanish structure will be able to count on the experience of its new recruit since the Asian driver has already completed no less than three seasons in the discipline.

After finishing seventh in GP3 in 2011 with Manor Racing, Rio Haryanto made his debut in the top category with Carlin before moving to Barwa Addax Team and Caterham Racing.

Adrian Campos hopes that the course of Rio Haryanto will be profitable for his team. But the Indonesian has failed to really stand out so far since he has only won two podiums in GP2 (2nd at Silverstone in 2013 and 3rd in Monaco last year). “I am very happy to welcome an experienced pilot,” soberly declared the director of the stable of the same name.
