GP2 – Visit: Iron Dams

Return to Friday May 11, shortly before 15 p.m., on the Barcelona circuit. The GP2 paddock waits its turn, taken hostage by the shrill sirens of the V8s of F1. Suddenly, on the TV screen, in the small living room of the motorhome in Dams, Mark Webber (Red Bull) takes a little foray into the sandbox. “The track is full of gravel! Look look ! », says Jean-Paul Driot to Davide Valsecchi, one of his pilots. The championship leader, almost lying on the bench, sees his moment of relaxation come to an end. Their second free session finished, the F1s are silent and the Italian will slip away to join the staff and car. In less than an hour, he will be in full qualification. Then begins a little race against time: Driot has just rushed the scheduled interview. Forty minutes is not too long to discuss the history of Dams. That's how Jean-Paul is: authoritarian. You have to follow your movement, be reactive. Action !
