Grosjean fills up

After a pole which already gave him two points, Romain Grosjean could foresee the Feature race with optimism. After a good fight with di Grassi, Petrov and d'Ambrosio, the Frenchman finished the race in the lead. He could triumph by taking victory in this first race of the season. By setting the best lap time, Grosjean is a hit for the start of the Spanish weekend. With thirteen points scored out of thirteen possible, the Genevan is off to a great start to the GP2 season.

His teammate Vitaly Petrov, by finishing second, secured the double for the Barwa Campos team. Completing the podium, the Belgian Jérôme d?Ambrosio offers the French DAMS team a very good result. Kamui Kobayashi, winner in the GP2 Asia Series this winter, finished in eighth position for DAMS. The big loser of this race is the Brazilian Lucas di Grassi, who was the victim of a spectacular accident, with the car of Alvaro Parente passing over his. Added to this accident was the collision of Diego Nunes in the cars of the first two, forcing the safety car to enter the track. But this incident did not disrupt the leadership of Grosjean, winner of the first race of the weekend.

The second race in GP2, the Sprint race, will take place this Sunday in Barcelona.
