Grosjean stumbles, Petrov in power

Starting from the last row, the leader of the GP2 Series championship had almost no hope of getting into the points. Grosjean took advantage of the poor start of the cars at the back of the grid to move back into the peloton. Unlike Davide Valsecchi, who made two touches in the first corner before making a mistake. While in the lead, Lucas di Grassi keeps the lead, it is the Frenchman who puts on the show by moving up the places one by one, going the opposite way as in Saturday's race. After a few crazy minutes, the positions freeze. Michael Herck, put under pressure, spins and stalls in a corner.

Stuck behind Alvaro Parente, Grosjean tries to overtake the Portuguese, who resists the best of trajectories. The other Frenchman, Nelson Panciaticci, retired with engine failure and ended a difficult weekend. In front of Grosjean, Parente overtakes Nunes and escapes. As for the Barwa driver, he remains stuck in twelfth position and can say goodbye to the points. At the forefront, Hulkenberg ahead of Maldonado and confirms his speed.

Fighting for a meager eleventh place, Romain Grosjean got annoyed behind Nunes and attempted a difficult overtake before hitting several times, wheel to wheel, in the car of the Brazilian. The Frenchman jerks his nose in passing, and loses ground, over the laps, on Nunes. At the front, di Grassi is a solid leader ahead of Villa, Petrov and Hülkenberg, all detached from each other. The Brazilian won without contest and scored important points. Vitaly Petrov, 3rd, scored 4 points which propelled him to the lead in the championship. Mute since the second Monaco race, Grosjean found a serious rival in his teammate. Above all, he showed that, in the face of adversity, he lacked patience. An impatience that almost cost him dearly in Monaco?
