Guttierez with Lotus ART in GP2

Esteban Gutierrez won the GP3 Series title this year with ART Grand Prix. The Villeneuve-la-Guyarde team seems to believe in the potential of the young Mexican since it included him in its 2011 GP2 program after a 2010 season dominated by the person concerned, who still won no less than five victories.

The GP3 Series Champion therefore continues his rise with ART Grand Prix, after having also evolved with the team of Nicolas Todt and Frédéric Vasseur in F3 Euro Series. “ It will be a very interesting season and I am delighted to continue my career with Lotus ART as it is undoubtedly one of the best racing teams. The GP2 Series is an exciting challenge to take on, with long races, tire changes, and the need to know how to manage your tires. »

Esteban Gutierrez knows that the learning process will be difficult and takes this news with humility. “ There will be many new parameters to integrate, but with Lotus ART I am in a good school. I will do my best to ensure that this learning process goes smoothly and I hope that I will have a good first season. »

Frédéric Vasseur seems won over by the qualities of the Mexican driver. “ After our GP3 Series title, the GP2 Series is the next logical step with which we wish to associate Esteban and I am delighted that our collaboration will continue. Esteban has great talent, he has great maturity despite his young age and he is an easy-going person with whom the entire Lotus ART team enjoys working. We look forward to preparing the next seasons with Esteban. »
