Hülkenberg hot on Grosjean’s heels

Starting on pole, the German driver of the French ART Grand Prix team Nico Hulkenberg dominated the entire “long” Nürburgring race. Throughout the 33 laps, the champion of Formula 3 The reigning Euro Series continued to soar towards ten points of victory. Ten points which currently allow him to be close behind Romain Grosjean in the championship standings. From the start, Hülkenberg took the lead, seeing Lucas di Grassi steal second place from Roldan Rodriguez.

Romain Grosjean, who started from afar, in 14th position, begins his comeback by moving to 10th place at the end of the first lap. After eight laps, the leader already has more than five seconds ahead of di Grassi, while Maldonado attempts a suicidal overtake on Nunes, the two drivers hanging on. The Venezuelan is poorly rewarded since he hits the wall shortly after. On the 15th lap, Grosjean played the opportunist by overtaking di Grassi, while the latter was coming out of the pits.

While Hülkenberg flies away, with a lead of more than ten seconds after 30 laps, Grosjean secures the points for 6th place. But, not at the party, the Franco-Switzerland must contain Parente and di Grassi. But, attacking the pit straight, two laps from the finish, the car Barwa suddenly stops. While the championship leader lost three points, Nico Hülkenberg grabbed the ten points for victory, finishing with 13.9?? ahead of Roldan Rodriguez. In front of his audience, the German asserted himself as a serious candidate for the title of GP2 champion, for his first season.
