IndyCar: Bourdais close to an agreement?

The second testing day by Sébastien Bourdais with the Dale Coyne team on the Sebring circuit was unfortunately shortened due to bad weather conditions.

“We didn’t ride all morning due to the rain that fell, explained Bourdais, contacted by telephone. Then we waited for the track to dry a little. So, we didn’t start working until 15 p.m. Only a few laps of the track which did not allow us to progress. Only Tagliani rode at the same time as us, posting significantly better times.”

The quadruple Champ Car is now impatiently awaiting the next tests which will take place next Monday and Tuesday on the Barber circuit (Alabama). Twenty-four single-seaters are expected during these final tests before the start of the season. The opportunity for Sébastien Bourdais and the Dale Coyne team to benchmark themselves against the competition.

“A lot of work awaits us. We are competing against very well structured stables. We're going to need time to get up to their level." warns Manceau. A way of confirming that he intends to make his comeback in the American championship even if, for the moment, his contract has not yet been signed. “We took the plane tickets to St Petersburg (March 27. Editor’s note). Now there’s just…” concluded Bourdais.
