Indycar – Bryan Herta Autosport with Honda

Lotus had suddenly announced that it would no longer power Bryan Herta Autosport and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, the British engine manufacturer and manufacturer being plagued by significant financial problems. The promoters of the discipline having assured that they accepted a change of engine manufacturer during the season to avoid unfairly penalizing these teams, Bryan Herta Autosport finally found Honda which will supply another 6l V2.2 for Alex Tagliani's DW12 for the rest of the season. The Italian veteran will have the difficult task of representing the team in Indianapolis after the victory won last year by Dan Wheldon.

Steve Eriksen, vice-president of Honda Performance Development, is in any case delighted to find Bryan Herta Autosport. “We are pleased to renew our relationship with Bryan Herta and his team. Bryan has long been associated with Honda and HPD (including his racing career). His team's victory at the Indianapolis 500 is the stuff of legend, and we're all excited to help him fight back. Beyond that, we look forward to a successful association with Bryan Herta Autosport for the remainder of the 2012 season."
