IndyCar – Spencer Pigot joins RLL for an ambitious program

Spencer Pigot will be the fifth consecutive Indy Lights champion to be seen in IndyCar the following season. The 22-year-old American has signed a contract for at least three events in the 2016 season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, including the 100th edition of the Indianapolis 500 on May 29. His two other commitments selected for the moment are at the GP of St Petersburg (Florida) on March 13 and at the GP of Indianapolis (road race preceding the Indy 500) on May 14.

“Becoming an IndyCar driver and being at the Indianapolis 500 has always been my goal”, commented Spencer Pigot. “This team suits me perfectly as a rookie because it has enough experience. My entry into the 100th edition of the Indy 500 will soon be the greatest moment of my career. This is what I've always dreamed of since I started racing. »

Spencer Pigot drove an IndyCar for the first time last August during a test session carried out by Team Penske in Sonoma (California).
