Alex Tagliani makes his dream come true

Alex Tagliani, Quebec pilotIndyCar Series, is pursuing its dream of building a competitive team in the discipline. Involved in the creation of the team, Tagliani will also be one of the drivers of the Fazzt single-seaters with the Dallara chassis. The factory based in Indianapolis works in close collaboration with the research and development sectors located in Montreal.

This week, Tagliani was able to complete two days of testing on the Miami-Homestead circuit but the official presentation of the car, which was still without any sponsor in Florida, will take place next Thursday, January 14. A strong moment for Alex Tagliani, proud to brandish the colors of Canada and Quebec in IndyCar.

« It's a Canadian team, attests the former Champ Car driver to Radio Canada. We started this with André (Azzi, Montreal businessman, co-owner of the Fazzt team), there is a Quebec driver in the car, we have Quebec and Canadian sponsors. It's not often that we can feel proud to put together a local team, that motorsport fans can support, that represents local companies at the international level such as in IndyCar. After IndyCar, it's the F1. »

Two months before the start of the IndyCar season (March 14 in Sao Paulo), Tagliani is satisfied with the tests carried out this week. “ Everything is 100% operational, He explains. There will still be things to add and improve, but everything works. The two days of testing were to evaluate our equipment, radio, electronics, telemetry and so on. I think Rob (Edwards, general manager) wants it to be perfect for the start of the season »

Next tests for Alex Tagliani and the Canadian Fazzt team on February 18 in Sebring, less than a month before the start of the season.
