Conor Daly with Ed Carpenter Racing

Ed Carpenter Racing has revealed its lineup for the 2020 season.Indycar. It will be Conor Daly who will be responsible for representing the team in all the races on the calendar, the boss-driver of the team of the same name only taking part in the ovals. A third driver will be entered in the Indianapolis 500.

The former Star Mazda champion has been competing in Indycar for many years, but he has only competed in two full seasons, in 2016 with Dale Coyne Racing, and in 2017 with AJ Foyt Racing. The 27-year-old American then moved on to freelance, playing for no less than five teams over the last two years.

“As a kid from Indiana, it only seems fitting that I get a chance with Ed Carpenter Racing, comments the one which will be sponsored by the US Air Force. This team has done an incredible job over the past few years and I have tremendous respect for Ed and his staff. I look forward to preparing as best I can for the upcoming season by doing simulator and testing for the first time in several years. »

Conor Daly has always managed to be at the start of the Indy 500 since 2015. It was with Andretti Autosport this season that he managed to get his best place in this event by finishing 10th. To date, he has only obtained one podium in Detroit (Michigan) in 2016, taking 2nd place.
