Conquest Racing abandons IndyCar in 2013

Conquest Racing has announced that it has sold its DW12 chassis with which Ana Beatriz competed in the Sao Paulo event and the Indianapolis 500 last year thanks to a partnership with Andretti Autosport. The team led by Belgian Éric Bachelart preferred to concentrate on its ALMS program where it took second place in LMP2 last year with a Morgan-Nissan and thus leaves the world of racing. car where she played her last full season with Sebastian Saavedra who recently joined Dragon Racing.

The team is considering extending its endurance program after sacrificing its presence in IndyCar. “We made our decision this week.”, commented Éric Bachelart. “After considering multiple scenarios, we have decided that the time has come for us to leave IndyCar. Fighting for the Championship in LMP2 without having any experience was very positive for us and we proved that we can do it as a team. We are currently evaluating different programs for the ALMS with LMP2, LMPC and GTC where we know we are capable of fighting for the Championship (Conquest no longer having the Morgan from last season at its disposal) . »
