His successful pre-season tests at Sebring (Florida) therefore led to his debut in IndyCar Series this weekend in the streets of St Petersburg. Felipe Nasr will discover the American games in car by competing in the opening round of the 2020 campaign within the team Carlin.
The Brazilian, champion IMSA 2018 with Action Express Racing and vice-champion last year, will thus find a structure with which he had shone in the past, with the British title F3 2011, a second place at the Macau Grand Prix the same year, and a third place in the GP2 Series in 2012.
“I am grateful to Trevor Carlin for giving me the opportunity to drive the No. 12 DW12-Chevrolet this weekend and to Chevy for supporting this program, says Nasr.
I really want to contribute to the team's result with my experience and knowledge and to hopefully show that the speed we had at Sebring a few days ago will be repeated on the streets of St. Petersburg.
I know the team has worked very hard over the winter and I am very excited to start on the track on Friday morning. »
Felipe Nasr will team up with Briton Max Chilton, who will begin his third year with the English team.
