THEIndyCar (owned by Roger Penske) announced this Wednesday that it had disqualified Josef Newgarden (winner) and Scott McLaughlin (third) from the St. Petersburg event, making Pato O'Ward the new winner of the event. The team's third thief, Will Power, received a ten-point penalty in the championship.
