Patricio O'Ward and Colton Herta will have the privilege of competing in their first race in IndyCar during the final in Sonoma (California) played next weekend. The two rookies will evolve within Harding Racing which will highlight the two strong men of the 2018 Indy Lights season.
Patricio O'Ward won the Indy Lights title while Colton Herta finished runner-up, both having played with the Andretti Autosport team.
“I am very satisfied with my tests, commented Patricio O'Ward after testing this week on the Californian circuit. We were very fast and the car handled well. The differences between the Indy Lights and these cars are truly impressive. The level of grip and power has nothing to do with it anymore, I've never ridden something so fast. »
“The car feels much heavier with the level of downforce required at Sonoma and the braking is sensational. I'll have to go to the gym because the car is very rough. He's a beast, a monster.", acknowledged the reigning Indy Lights champion.
