Harvest GP (Indy): Imperial power, Newgarden still in the race

Will Power (Team Penske) won the 2nd race of the Harvest GP, his 4th success on the road to Indianapolis, ahead of Colton Herta (Andretti Autosport) by only 8/10ths, after a suspenseful finale.

The pole sitter had largely dominated three quarters of the race, but found himself under threat from the young American during the last ten of the 75 laps. Passed by Herta on the 64th lap, Alexander Red (Andretti Autosport) finished 3rd.

Winner on Friday, Josef Newgarden this time had to settle for fourth place. Starting from 8th place, he can still be satisfied with having still grabbed a few points from Scott Dixon, the championship leader, eighth in the race after having started it from 15th position.

Thirty-two points separate the two men before the curtain drops on the season which will take place in the streets of St Petersburg (Florida) on October 25.

French side, simon pagenaud finished in 10th place, after a good comeback, even though he had started from 19th place. Starting from 21st place, Sébastien Bourdais (AJ Foyt) finished 18th.
