Helio Castroneves returns to IndyCar

Triple winner of the Indianapolis 500 but never titled, Helio Castroneves dispute since 2018IMSA SportsCar Championship within Acura Team Penske. This weekend, it is as overall leaders that the Brazilian and his sidekick Ricky Taylor will approach the 12 Hours of Sebring, the finale of the 2020 season.

But Helio has never completely left his favorite discipline, since he is always requisitioned by The Captain for the Indy 500. Next year he will even return there for a program of six races, within the Meyer Shank Racing, where his teammate will be Jack Harvey. A team which continues to gain momentum, as evidenced by its upcoming arrival in DPi with an Acura ARX-05 notably entrusted to Toulouse's Olivier Pla, probably supported by Dane Cameron.

If he freelanced for McLaren SP this year, the South American veteran will have to get used to a new environment, having defended the interests of Team Penske for 20 years! The six races he could possibly compete in are Barber Motorsports Park (April 11), Long Beach (April 18), Indy 500 (May 30), one of two road events at the Indianapolis Motorspeedway (August 14) , Portland (September 12) and Laguna Seca (September 19).

Will we see him again, in addition, in some races of theEndurance Cup in IMSA? Nothing impossible there too. At 45, Spiderman is not inclined to stop being talked about.
