Hinchcliffe leads testing at Sebring

With a lap completed in 51''37, James Hinchcliffe (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) was the fastest at the end of the test day IndyCar contested this Tuesday on the short course of Sebring (Florida) 2,73km long. At the end of a session lasting more than 8 hours, his reference allowed him to precede Zach Veach (Andretti Autosport) by 9 hundredths, while Takuma Sato (RLL Racing) completed the leading trio by a tenth.

“It’s quite shocking how fast these cars are. We seem to forget it when we are away for a few months. We take the track and we say to ourselves that the level of performance of these cars is just crazy”, commented the 24-year-old American.

A total of 11 cars took part in these tests. Alexander Red (Andretti Autosport) completed the Top 5 ahead of Ed Jones (Ed Carpenter Racing), Felix Rosenqvist (Chip Ganassi Racing), Marcus Ericsson 5Schmidt Peterson Motorsports), Spencer Pigot (Ed Carpenter Racing), Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport) and Graham Rahal (RLL Racing).
