Fernando Alonso led the final Indy 500 practice sessions ahead of qualifying.

Indy 500 – Alonso leads final practice

Fernando Alonso (McLaren) set the best time in the 5th and final Indy 500 practice session which precedes qualifying. The double champion F1 completed a lap in 39 seconds at an average speed of 4625 mph, ahead of Jordan King (RLL Racing) by more than a tenth.

 

 

Kyle Kaiser (Juncos Racing), who had suffered an accident the day before, was able to return to the track, setting the 3rd fastest time ahead of Ben Hanley (Dragonspeed), Patricio O'Ward and Max Chilton.

 

 

The first qualifying session held this Saturday will determine the places from 10th to 30th position as well as the 9 drivers able to fight for pole and the competitors fighting for the last places on the grid of the 103rd edition of the 500 Miles d 'Indianapolis.
