Not renewed full-time this season within AJ Foyt Enterprises, the American Conor Daly will however be at the start of the Indianapolis 500 on May 27. The former 2010 Star Mazda Championship champion will join Dale Coyne Racing for the occasion, with whom he competed in the 2016 season.
Daly will be lined up on a Dallara DW12 – Honda badged No. 17 and sporting the livery of the US Air Force and operated by the alliance between Dale Coyne's structure and Thom Burns Racing, which notably supported Buddy Lazier.
Dale Coyne Racing will field its two cars full-time at the Indy 500, for Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais and the Brazilian Pietro Fittipaldi.
