Indy 500: Dario Franchitti triumphs

Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi Racing) will have fully deserved his victory this Sunday, during the legendary 500 Miles of Indianapolis. The Scot, who started third, quickly took control of the race. In total, the reigning champion ofIndyCar Series led for 155 of the 200 laps of the Indy 500. At the end of the race, however, he had to deal with the return of Dan Wheldon, before seeing the yellow flag waved for a spectacular accident involving Mike conway and Ryan Hunter-Reay (see video).

Dario Franchitti was thus able to maintain his advantage and move towards a second success during the Indianapolis 500, after 2007. “ It's still just as good the second time “, commented Franchitti.
