Indy 500 – Sebastian Saavedra joins Juncos Racing

Alongside Spencer pigot confirmed earlier this week to drive the #12 DW11-Chevrolet at the Indianapolis 500 on May 28, Juncos Racing will trust the Colombian Sebastian Saavedra.

Present since 2010 in the series IndyCar, the 26-year-old driver has successively played for Bryan Herta Autosport, Conquest Racing, Andretti, Dragon Racing, KV Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing, with whom he made his last start at the Indy 500 in 2015.

Still supported by Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Saavedra will try to improve on his best performance on the American oval, with a 15th place achieved in 2015 with KV Racing.

“After a year away from the circuits, it’s gratifying to be back racing, admits Saavedra. It’s something I’m very proud of and look forward to.
