Indy 500 – Tony Kanaan dominates Carb Day

The month of Indianapolis is punctuated by unmissable events. After qualifying and the famous Pole Day, the Carburation Day constitutes the last dress rehearsal before the start of the race scheduled for this Sunday.

A session dominated this year by the 2013 winner of the Indianapolis 500 Tony Canaan. The Brazilian from the Chip Ganassi Racing – Chevrolet team completed his best lap at more than 363,711 km/h and is more than 266 thousandths ahead of Carlos Muñoz (Andretti Autosport – Honda).

The reigning champion of IndyCar Series Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) ranks 3rd by less than three tenths and precedes Will Power, first representative of the Team Penske – Chevrolet armada, Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport – Honda) completing the top 5 of this session .

The pole sitter of this 100th edition James Hinchcliffe (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda) takes 12th place. simon pagenaud (Team Penske – Chevrolet) and Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing – Chevrolet) ranked 22nd and 23rd.
