Indy Lights – Carlin crosses the Atlantic

The Carlin Motorsport team, which has long been involved in the GP2, GP3, FR 3.5 championships or F3, will take a new step in its development, by starting a program in Indy Lights, the second division of the sector IndyCar, starting next year.

“We are seeing more and more drivers looking across the Atlantic from categories like Formula 3 or the GP2 Series to careers in Indy Lights and IndyCar and it makes sense as a European team to offer this route to our customers,
indicates Trevor Carlin, founder of the stable. We remain completely focused on our programs in Europe, but it is also important to take on new challenges. We don't underestimate this challenge, but we believe we have the right group of people to be competitive in Indy Lights. This is an exciting new chapter for Carlin.”

Carlin had driven several drivers from the IndyCar Series, notably Josef Newgarden in GP3 in 2010.
