IndyCar – A.J Foyt Racing with a new crew in 2017

A.J Foyt Racing wanted to react after a bad 2016 season where the team only obtained two 5th places as their best result. Carlos Munoz and Conor Daly have been confirmed for the 2017 season as replacements for Takuma Sato and Jack Hawksworth. The Colombian leaves Andretti Autosport to drive the No. 14 while the American will move from the Dale Coyne Racing No. 18 to the No. 4.

“This is a new stage in my life, confirmed Carlos Munoz. There were many offers and I know many drivers called (team president) Larry Foyt. Conor is the best teammate I could have hoped for, he is an American and he is very efficient and experienced. L'IndyCar must change generations and it starts now. We are both young and fast and I think we will make a good team. »

“He was hard to beat with Andretti when he was just a rookie. He was quite impressive, recognized Conor Daly on his teammate. He is very strong at Indy (2nd in 2013 and 2016) and in general on ovals. He is very courageous and I have great respect for him. He has experience despite his young age (24 years old). »

A.J Foyt Racing also took the opportunity to announce the extension of its partnership with ABC Supply Co.
