IndyCar – Alex Tagliani with SF Hartman Racing at the Indy 500

It is at the wheel of the No. 12 DW68 powered by the Honda V6 engine that Alex Tagliani will start the 500 Indy 2014. The author of the pole in 2011, who did not have a full-time steering wheel for this season, will therefore still be at the start of the great annual meeting of theIndyCar. Currently, Tagliani is entered in the United SportsCar Championship, where he will compete in the 12 Hours of Sebring this weekend.

“I am excited about this opportunity with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing for this year’s Indy 500, explains Tagliani. I love this race, and this track has always suited me. I couldn't have a better opportunity than with SFHR, and I will do my best to contribute to the team's success. They have the potential to surprise many people. I'm looking forward to working with Josef and trying to help the team win the race. »

“SFHR is pleased to welcome Alex to our second car for the Indy 500,
said Wink Hartman, owner of the stable. We are excited to bring an experienced pilot to our program. We are convinced that this is a step in the right direction. In addition to our partnership at the Indy 500, the idea is to add other additional races to Alex's schedule for the second half of the season. »

Tagliani drove last year with Bryan Herta Autosport and achieved his best result at the Indy 500, 10th place in 2010.
