IndyCar – Alexander Rossi stays at Andretti-Herta

Alexander Red will remain driver of the Andretti-Herta Autosport team. The confirmation came hours after the two structures confirmed the extension of their partnership in 2017.

The 25-year-old American scored one of the two victories signed by Honda this season, but not just any victory since the former Manor Marussia driver F1 Team won the 100th edition of the Indianapolis 500 last May.

“These last eight months have been incredible, from the opportunity to join theIndyCar to achieve victory at the 100th edition of Indy 500. And now, I extend with Andretti Autosport, rejoiced Alexander Rossi. I am proud to ride with a team of this caliber as we aim for new victories to make our mark in this Championship. »

“Alexander has progressed incredibly this year and we are delighted to retain him, added Michael Andretti, the owner of the stable. Alexander quickly gained the trust of engineers, mechanics and his teammates. This is a solid foundation for 2017.”
