IndyCar – Andretti: “Be as competitive on other tracks”

Michael Andretti's team is coming out of a mixed season in 2016. Certainly, the victory of the car by Alexander Red aligned under the banner of Andretti Herta Autosport at the Indianapolis 500, came to reward in a sense the American structure, but the final 10th place in the general classification of Carlos Munoz, best Andretti representative in the championship, remains as a failure for the boss .

“Our five cars had a chance to win the 500 miles, specifies Michael Andretti on the championship website. It’s been really special, and winning the 100th edition makes it that much more special. Now you are a part of history.

It saved our year, certainly. I hope we will be as competitive there next year, but we still have to be as competitive at the other tracks. »

The boss of the American team has also indicated that he would like to enter at least four cars in 2017, or even a fifth if the possibility arises. Main representative of the Honda clan last year, Andretti Autosport will no longer be the only major team to ship Japanese twin-turbo V6 units next year, with Chip Ganassi Racing returning to the fold of the Japanese engine manufacturer.
