IndyCar – Ben Bretzman: “No reason not to win more than 10 races”

Behind the track success of simon pagenaud hides in particular the work of its engineer Ben Bretzman. The latter took a significant part in the French driver's victorious season this year in IndyCar, and believes that the entire Penske team can experience a 2017 similar to 2016.

“From a Team Penske perspective for 2017, there is no reason why we can't win more than 10 races, comments Bretzman on the IndyCar website. With our driver line-up in 2017, we could finish 1-2-3-4 in the championship. The potential is incredible. »

Roger Penske's team will enter in addition to Simon Pagenaud, Helio Castroneves, Will Power and new recruit Josef Newgarden, who will replace Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya full-time. The latter will however be lined up at the start of the Indianapolis 500.

The engineer also returns to what remains one of Simon Pagenaud's main objectives: the Indianapolis 500. Confidence remains high for the next edition, after two disappointments in 2015 and 2016.

“His mental approach to the 500 mile race is very strong. He's going to win this race. We've had such a good car the last two years, it's disappointing not to have won one of them. Just do it. »
