IndyCar – Bourdais hopes to continue at Mid-Ohio

Sébastien Bourdais distinguished himself in Toronto by taking the podium at the end of the two races of the weekend. The four-time champion of the discipline could again aim for a good result this weekend at Mid-Ohio. The driver of the No. 12 DW7 entered by Dragon Racing once again showed great potential by securing the fourth time of the Open Test, three tenths of the reference time set by reigning champion Ryan Hunter-Reay. The Frenchman can be all the more confident as he achieved his best result of the season last year with a fourth place.

“We finally got the car where it needed to be, its performance was much higher in Toronto”, recognizes Sébastien Bourdais who remains in 16th place in the Championship. “This result was very good for the team and brought extra motivation to all the staff. I hope this is not the end and that we will continue on this path. We found significant improvements to the car, which made for a very good weekend in Toronto. We approached the Open Test in the same way and it returned a decent result. We already found good settings last year. But this season a lot has changed with the tires and everything else. We gained about eight tenths compared to last year. This shows that everyone is working hard. The team did a very good job despite the short time available to us with the rain which disrupted the tests. I hope we continue to progress to aim for another podium or a victory. »
