IndyCar-C2: Bourdais regains victory in Detroit

Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) achieves its first success of the season by winning Race 2 of theIndyCar in Detroit (Michigan) contested on a drying track, at the end of an event marked by numerous yellow flags. The Frenchman managed to conserve enough fuel to reach the finish and secure his first victory since last year in Toronto (Canada).

The result is unprecedented since the top ten is almost completed by Honda units that consume less fuel. takuma sato (AJ Foyt Entreprises) took 2nd place ahead of Graham rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing). Tristan Vautier (Dale Coyne Racing) signs its first top 5 in IndyCar by finishing just off the podium in front Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport).

Team Penske suffered in this race since its first driver, Juan Pablo Montoya, only ranked 10th after running out of fuel on the last lap. Will Power and Helio Castroneves gave up while hanging on. Scott Dixon (Ganassi Racing) also dismounted after his teammate Charlie kimball fell back on him. The ace, simon pagenaud did not really benefit from it since Poitevin ranked 14th after having to refuel in the last laps.
