IndyCar-C2: Mike Conway wins in Toronto

Once again, the rain which interfered in the Canadian weekend in IndyCar during the second race run yesterday. And it's the British Mike conway who best negotiated the changes in grip on the track by winning after a veritable five-minute sprint. On a drying track, the Ed Carpenter Racing driver, the second competitor to put on slick tires after the downpour that appeared at the start of the round, took the lead on the 50th lap before the race management raised the red flag. two laps later for a crash at turn 3.

At the restart, Conway controlled Tony Kanaan (Team Ganassi – Chevrolet), who had started the race badly, with contact with the barriers just after the start, and Will Power (Team Penske – Chevrolet) to win his second victory of the season after Long Beach at the start of the year. Power is now 13 points behind his teammate Helio Castroneves, still leader of the general classification, who finished 12th after having taken pole.

Less success for the Tricolores. After his victory in the first race, Sébastien Bourdais (KV Racing – Chevrolet) finished 9th, while simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda) was slowed by electronic problems after 47 laps.

IndyCar will resume its rights in two weeks on the Mid-Ohio track.
