IndyCar: Coyne wants Sébastien Bourdais

Last year, Dale Coyne Racing had evolved to a level at which it was not expected in IndyCar. A rise to the forefront that the American team owes in large part to its recruit Sébastien Bourdais, who competed in all the events taking place on road cars. In 2012, Dale Coyne still hopes to be able to count on the Frenchman. But this time for a full-time program.

“Our goal is always the same, admits the boss to our colleagues at Speed.com. Have two single-seaters, with the same drivers at the wheel. I hope we can announce a first pilot this week, and a second next week?. From one car last year, Dale Coyne wants to enter two DW12s in 2012, for a duo composed of Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais and 24-year-old Briton James Jakes. If decisions are slow to come, it is because the boss has suffered a serious ankle fracture. Note that we do not yet know which engine manufacturer he will trust in 2012.

If Bourdais were to play the entire championship, he would then join his compatriot and friend simon pagenaud, who signed with Sam Schmidt Motorsports last week (see here).
