IndyCar – Ganassi returns to the Honda clan in 2017

After three seasons contested with the V6 Chevrolet, and marked by obtaining the 2015 Drivers' title with Scott Dixon, the Chip Ganassi Racing will leave the fold of the American engine manufacturer to find Honda engines from the next racing season IndyCar TV Shows. The contract covers several years.

Chip Ganassi's team was among the pillars of the Japanese brand's clan between 2006 and 2013, compiling five Drivers' titles (two for Scott Dixon and three for Dario Franchitti), following the CART crowns with Jimmy Vasser, Alex Zanardi and Juan Pablo Montoya between 1996 and 1999.

“We have had a long and successful relationship with Honda over the past few years and we look forward to getting back on track, underlines Chip Ganassi. It's a bit like coming home after having already spent 12 years with them. Much of our organization's success has been possible because of Honda and we are all very excited. »
