The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team released a press release last night to announce that it will hold a press conference on Wednesday in Indianapolis to announce the entry of a third car for the 98th edition of the Indianapolis 500 (May 25) which will be driven by a former winner. Everything suggests that it will be the Canadian Jacques Villeneuve who will take his place in the car powered by the Honda twin-turbo V6. The Canadian revealed himself in motorsport in Formula Atlantic before moving to CART and winning the championship in 1995 in addition to the Indy 500 the same year. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will obviously also field its two starters, the French simon pagenaud and the Russian Mikhail Aleshin.
