IndyCar – Pagenaud and Vautier confident in Mid-Ohio

I think we found what we were looking for because the car is very fast. We missed the Firestone Fast Six because we made a slight adjustment before hitting the track. I have to admit that the adversity is fierce here. A slight change to the car can disrupt the driver. I didn't adapt quickly enough and we didn't place the car where it should be. We nevertheless have good potential here and we will have a good race. »

His teammate Tristan Vautier can also hope for a good result by starting from eleventh position after experiencing several difficult events. The rookie did not manage to get the full potential of his tires when they were at their best performance level. “I experienced several complicated races and we are happy to have made it past the first round. Unfortunately, the second did not go as we hoped. I knew I was going to have to push harder to get into the Firestone Fast Six, but I made a few small mistakes. Tires are not designed to last long and you find yourself in difficulty if you make a mistake on your flying lap. The car was, however, competitive. It was a good qualifying session and we are ready for the race. »
