IndyCar – Pagenaud inherits pole

simon pagenaud (Team Penske) remains undefeated in Belle Isle qualifying in Detroit, Michigan. The Poitevin who was the fastest in his group with a time of 1'14''4104 took advantage of the penalty inflicted on his teammate Will Power, the fastest in the second group.

The stewards decided to cancel the two best times of the 2014 champion for having hindered Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport). The Australian will have to be content with the fourth row of the grid while Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport) will complete the first row ahead of Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) and Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing).

Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing), the winner of Race 1, was less successful since he will start from the sixth row.

Race 2 in Detroit will be broadcast from 22:35 p.m. on Canal+ Sport.
