IndyCar – Pippa Mann returns to Indy 500

Pippa Mann will make her return in IndyCar by lining up on the grid for the Indianapolis 500 on May 25. After making her debut in the discipline in 2011, the 30-year-old Briton competed in several events last year with Dale Coyne Racing. The team will find it on the DW12 n°63 which will wear a pink livery in order to defend the interests of the Komen association which acts against breast cancer.

The objective for Pippa Mann will above all be to consolidate her achievements by returning to a team with which she has already played. After a 20th place finish during her first participation in the Indianapolis 500, she retired last year following contact. “It was a big season (in 2011) because I only had one day of testing before I started. The pilot-engineer relationship is important to successfully complete your program. This will be the first time that I will compete in the Indianapolis 500 without having to discover a new car or a new engineer. Dale Coyne Racing will bring me a great team for the #63. It means a lot to me to participate in this event and I really missed it in 2012. I can't wait until May 11th for the first tests. »
