IndyCar – Ryan Briscoe reunites with Chip Ganassi Racing

If Alex Tagliani seemed confident of winning the available wheel within Chip Ganassi Racing, it is ultimately Ryan Briscoe who completes the crew by taking the wheel of the No. 12 DW8 after signing a contract for several seasons. The 2003 champion of the F3 Euro Series had already defended the team's interests in 2005 before later joining Team Penske. The Australian highlighted himself this year by competing in several events with Panther Racing and taking 12th place at the Indianapolis 500 with Ganassi. “I feel like I'm one of the lucky ones. The first one car byIndyCar that I drove in 2004 belonged to Ganassi. I've had some great experiences and driven some fantastic cars, but nothing beats coming back here. »

Ryan Briscoe will not replace Dario Franchitti since it is Tony Kanaan who will have the privilege of driving the No. 10 in the colors of sponsor Target, Scott Dixon and Charlie Kimball completing the squad. “I am very happy for Tony Kanaan and Ryan Briscoe. They are both very good signings for the team. I'm delighted that No. 10 is in good hands.", commented the four-time champion of the discipline. This announcement also puts an end to speculation that his cousin Paul di Resta would replace him.

Chevrolet also indicated that Ryan Briscoe would be entered in a Corvette in several endurance events, including the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona.
