IndyCar – Scott Dixon, from last to first!

The Mid-Ohio circuit therefore remains a private preserve for the Ganassi team. Victorious continuously since 2009 on this track, including three victories for Scott Dixon, Chip Ganassi's team adds a new success to its record in Ohio, and especially the first in 2014. For this, Scott Dixon, although he started last , avoided the collision in the first lap which immediately eliminated Tony Kanaan (Team Ganassi – Chevrolet) and Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport – Honda) and played on strategy at the end of the race to beat pole sitter Sébastien Bourdais (KV Racing – Chevrolet), author of a perfect start to the event, but who could do nothing to counter Dixon, who pocketed his 34th career success. It is James Hinchcliffe (Andretti Autosport – Honda), also the author of a good comeback from 17th place, who completes the podium.

Many would have seen Josef Newgarden (Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing – Honda) going for victory today, but a penalty for riding on the pipe of a gun during a refueling ruined his chances. For Helio Castroneves (Team Penske – Chevrolet), it was an accelerator at half mast even before the start which slowed down the championship leader before Mid-Ohio. The Brazilian, 19th this Sunday, lost control of the championship against his teammate Will Power, 6th in the race. simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda) ranks 9th.
