IndyCar – Takuma Sato confirmed at Andretti Autosport

After four seasons spent with the A.J. Foyt Enterprises team, Takuma Sato will change horizons in 2017 by joining the Andretti Autosport team.

If transferring the old driver F1 had been happening behind the scenes for several days, confirmation came yesterday evening. Sato's arrival at Andretti follows the recruitment of Carlos Munoz by A.J. Foyt Enterprises.

Winner for his first season with A.J. Foyt in 2013 in Long Beach, the Nippon has since not returned to Victory Lane, finishing 2nd in Sao Paolo that same year, then 2nd in Detroit in 2015.

Sato will team up with Ryan Hunter-Reay, Marco Andretti and Alexander Red, entered under the Andretti-Herta Autosport banner.
