IndyCar – Will Power off to a good start in Milwaukee

Will Power (Team Penske) manage to maintain his leadership position until the end of the season? The Australian did not let up in his efforts as he scored his third pole of the season, the 35th of his career, at the end of qualifying on the Milwaukee Mile where each driver had to qualify over two flying laps. With a time of 43, the Penske driver is more than a tenth ahead of Tony Kanaan (Chip Ganassi Racing), while Juan-Pablo Montoya (Team Penske) and Ryan Briscoe (Chip Ganassi Racing) are in second row.

Will Power's opponents are further behind since Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) was only able to take eighth position while Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport), winner of the last two editions, is only 19th on the grid. The French are also behind since simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) is only 16th while Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) is 18th.
