IndyCar – Will Power wins pole in Detroit

Will Power won the 39th pole of his career in IndyCar by setting the new record in qualifying by setting a time of 1'16"0941 on the Belle Isle Circuit in Detroit (Michigan) which is hosting two races this weekend. The reigning champion will set off in front of his teammates Helio Castroneves and Juan Pablo Montoya, last winner of the Indianapolis 500 and leader of the Championship.

simon pagenaud (Team Penske) will start from 5th position behind Takuma Sato (AJ Foyt Racing). Poitevin beat his compatriot Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing). Tristan Vautier (Dale Coyne Racing) also performed well, finishing 11th on the grid.
