Will Power took pole for the Road America GP ahead of Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan. Simon Pagenaud is well placed.

IndyCar – Will Power on pole at Road America

Will Power (Team Penske) will start on pole for the Road America Grand Prix (Wisconsin) after setting a benchmark time of 1:42 during the Firestone Fast Six. The 2105 champion was ahead of Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing) by a tenth, who will start alongside him.

Tony Kanaan (Chip Ganassi Racing) overtook the Championship leader simon pagenaud finishing half a second off the benchmark from the last qualifying session. Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) and Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing) complete the top six on the grid.

Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing) will start from 12th position ahead of Mikhail Aleshin (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) and Juan Pablo Montoya (Team Penske).

The Colombian was part of the group of drivers whose qualifying was disrupted by a red flag during Group 2 qualifying following a spin. Joseph Newgarden (Ed Carpenter Racing) who received permission to participate in the race after his accident in Texas. The American will start from the last row.

The Road America Grand Prix will be followed live from 18:30 p.m. on Canal+ Sport.
