Indycar: Will Power takes the lead

The Team Penske driver will start from pole on the Sao Paulo road circuit. He is ahead of his rival Dario Franchitti (Target Chip Ganassi Racing) and his teammate Ryan Briscoe.

Will Power once again demonstrated his competitiveness on road circuits. 2010 Champion Dario Franchitti failed to beat his rival during the qualifying session, falling 0??159.8 from pole.

Team Penske can be satisfied since Ryan Briscoe will start in third position. The Australian finished 0?235.3 behind his teammate. He is followed by Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport), Scott Dixon (Target Chip Ganassi Racing), Graham Rahal (SC Ganassi Racing) and Helio Castroneves (Team Penske).

Sébastien Bourdais (Dayle Coyne Racing) set the 12th fastest time in the qualifying session.
