Thirty teams, made up of universities and high schools around the world, will compete in a 20-lap race next fall. Before that, a demonstration race will take place during the week of the 500 Indy 2021 in May. But with which car?
This is where Dallara comes in. The Italian manufacturer used its Indy Lights base to build the IL-15, powered by a 2-horsepower 350-liter turbo engine and added state-of-the-art electronics and an improved cooling system.
The 30 single-seaters will be followed by the Juncos team. The winner will receive a whopping one million dollars!
